HOUSTON, TEXAS – Easterly announced today that the new corporate brand they created for Sysco was launched on Thursday of last week. Earlier this year, the Houston-based branding and strategic communications company won the contract to update the image of the global leader in selling, marketing and distributing food products.
“We selected Easterly because we were confident that they would be able to develop a brand and identity that would reflect how Sysco has grown and changed over the last 38 years,” said Mark Palmer, Vice President, Corporate Communications, Sysco. “They guided us through the process and helped us accomplish this goal in a seamless manner that lets all of our audiences know that good things come from Sysco.”
Sysco tapped Easterly in January of 2008 to help develop its new brand, including new messaging, re-positioning of the company, development of a new logo and a new tagline. Easterly also developed targeted communication materials for Sysco’s key audiences to help promote the new image among customers, shareholders, employees, media and the food industry.
“We are delighted to have worked with Sysco in the creation and launch of their new brand,” said Matthew Easterly, President of Easterly. “Though each engagement presents a unique set of challenges, the process that we’ve developed over the last 25 years resulted in a strong brand that will serve them well as they continue to grow.”
